Sillhouette SD

I got my Sillhouette SD a couple of days ago!  This thing is awesome!!  I think I am going to have some fun with this machine!!
If you haven't heard of it, it's like a Cricut.

"The Silhouette is a digital cutting tool for personal use. It connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. With the machine connected to your computer, you'll get access to all of the fonts on your PC plus the thousands of cuttable designs found on the Silhouette Online Store."

The things I like better about a Sillhouette:
  1. You don't have to buy cartridges!
  2. You can hook it up to your computer - Mac or PC
  3. You can use the fonts from your computer (I have a lot!)
  4. You can create your own shapes and designs (which I can do!)
My computer screen!  I designed a card for Emily Bridgers...

Cut the letters on this paper....
Then glued them to a card!  {wish I would have taken a picture of the final product!}

Things you can make with a Sillhouette SD:

What Can it Cut?

    I can't wait to show you things I will make with my Sillhouette SD!

    I just ordered printable heat transfer paper (for light & dark material), red & black heat transfer paper, magnet paper, and adhesive vinyl!   At least Hollyn will get some cute outfits out of it! : )

    It feels like a blogging kind of day....  You'll probaby see a few more posts by the end of the day! : )
